The point of this article is that they are saying this is unethical .They trying to make themselves more threatening . They wanted to seem that they didn't mess up .They tried to cover up a mistake and the truth came out in the end .

This kind of photo editing is unethical because they are just trying to get people to think differently of them .Also some of the photo editing is really unnecessary they want us to have a miss prose-vied idea
of what beauty is or, what their idea of perfection is . They want us to want to be what they preserve as pretty  or , cool  or, stylish .
